Snagging those beasts sounds like a sho' nuff workout in this heat we're having! But I bet they had some fun doing it. Congrats on floating and keep at it. You'll get all the bugs worked out soon.
We saw a boat (pontoon) with 4 guys who were casting and snagging carp using large treble hooks and a fast retrieve. Lots of action. Looked like they were having fun. Looked like they had a HB 360. One guy was pointing out where to cast to the others. We didn't get too close, but close enough to do a little rubber necking.
Forgot to mention my boat floats. Engine has an occasional miss. Merc 4 stroke. Always someting.

Snag em, kill em, dump em! Glad you’re able to get out.
I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me.
Illegal to snag anything on the lakes up here. Makes a lot of sense. I would seriously consider it for the slow times. Rip their gills and let em swim.

Don't make too much sense that you can't snag'em ... you can "snag'em" with a trolled bait & you can shoot'em with a arrow.
Now their gonna try the "Madness" deal again : Bowfishing tournament being held to fight Asian carp in west KY waterways ... later this month.
Our fine government strikes again. Can't do it for free, but they will want to raise taxes or a permit purchase to hire it done.
