My good friend, Pat, from Florida is back for his 5 month visit during the summer here. He lives in Melbourne, Florida during the winter. Anyway, he has taken me fishing for the past 3 days. The first two days, we fished only for white bass, so I didn't report these trips. We caught lots of whites and Pat got a nice 5 lb 9 oz Largemouth bass for his trouble.

But today, it was crappie time on the bluffs. We had pretty good luck on the crappie for the short time that we fished. I kept 10 keepers and we had several short crappie as well, but the high light of the trip was finding white bass feeding on tiny minnows right up against the bluff. If we hit the bluff with our casts or was no more than 6" away from the rocks, we would hook up with nice sized schooling white bass. We didn't keep any of these fish and a conservative estimate is 35 whites caught on Tennessee Shad color plastics on 1/16 oz jig heads. It is my new favorite go to bait now. Grin. Remember DK, don't fall in love with a favorite color or bait. It will break your heart like your first girl friend. LOLOL

The crappie were deep and the whites were shallow just under the surface of the water on the bluff. We stopped fishing before the sun got too hot. I threw in a pic of a big orange fan that lives a couple of blocks from me. I love the wagon.
