Sounds pretty good, ready for some action on the lake. Just as soon as I can get there.
Yellow bellies/ yellow stripes? Are we talking about yellow bass? Arkansas had a no return rule on yellow bass. Claim they are as bad as the asian carp.

I was fishing 5 floats behind the boat all from 3 to 6 ft. deep with minners. I also was casting a 1/16 ounce tube jig (RED,YELLOW & WHITE). Jig didn't produce as much until I hit structure. I am thinking of getting a big rod holder because sometimes it can get to be a pain in the A_ _! I hung a freaken GAR and he screwed all 5 poles up. I had to cut line and tie all 5 poles just to get them done quickly.

Well I tried out Jim Duckworth's new way of crappie fishing and lot less headache at it......JUG....fishing.Drop them and let them float back over the structure and be on the other side waiting they going to be there.

Hey brother got a good mess of fish today the crappie we got was 12-14 inches and had about 4 of them.Had 4 good hybrid one yellow belly and then mine and Mrs Thrill's favorite 7 good keeper catfish. The man I carried out with me today was well pleased with what we brought in.I will bag Mrs.Thrill some fillets and we can hook up one day.

Congrats on the house and let me know ahead of time when you do the move and me and Austin will jump in and help.

Congrats on the catch, and I'll keep you posted on the move. I'm supposed to take my buddy Gerald out on Friday, but he's not what you would call a "morning person." I can only stay out until 12, though....gotta meet the home inspector.

Been crappie jugging for years. 10 oz. bottle, 12# test, 2 hooks 1 foot apart with small sinker between. Make them up as you go. Most of mine are set with lower hook at 12 foot.
I saw a new rod holder on a boat saturday. 3/8 rod making a Tee up from the boat about a foot. 4 holders within 15 inches. Rod holders had a ring with setscrew. Light weight. But seem to have all the poles together. But impressive. I'll stick with what I make.
I'll be up next weekend, good friday. Hope the misses will let me out.
