    Default Dale Hollow

Anybody had any luck this year on Dale Hollow? Making a trip tomorrow and was wondering if the spawn was over. Thanks

We hit DH last weekend ...but for gills instead of crappie. We didn't even catch one crappie accidently...but
didn't hear of any good catches.

Gills were better last Saturday than the week before when I was there. My friend went Saturday, and got 18 BIG red ears and several
    large gills.

Clangford, how was the crappie fishing for you???

Not to good for us. I went with a buddy who is big into bass fishing so that was our main focus for the day and caught several good ones. I did pitch out around some brush and banks that looked promising with no bites. We went up into the Holly Creek area and I saw a big slab floating on the top of the water. Looked to be about 14 inches or so. Don't know if it got hit with a prop or what happened to it but it was a nice one. None of his buddies in the area were really liking what I had to offer.

tnvol- do you go to Dale Hollow often?

I get to go to DH about twice a month from April til Nov....I have a buddy who has a camper and boat there. We fish out of DH Boat Dock,
and range all the way up to Willow Grove at times. Primarily, we fish for gills during daylight hours, and crappie and trout under lights at night.
It is a beautiful, but tough place to fish. Next, we hope to figure out the walleye !

I hope to figure out the walleye as well. Me and a buddy are heading over this afternoon after work and putting in at Sunset and going to try it under the lights for the first time this year. Hoping to bring some slabs home!

Luck to ya! Let us know how it goes...we are headed to the Chick to check out some docks for crappie. (Might look in the
flats for a few crackers, too !

Dale Hollow is one of many TN lakes on my bucket list. I’m slowly checking some off the list, but I ain’t getting any younger!
I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me.
