Where you guys hidin' out? Katies Gourd? Heard it was good, haven't worked up the nerve to try it. Not for sure how to get a boat in there, or if I was given "good" info. Not my first 14K cluster!

Boys, I am headin' down tomorrow. Screw work!!! Someone else can do it, I can't get out the rest of the week and I'm going to go fishing. I will pack a rain suit.

    Anyone else headin' out there?

Bones- I heard it got clear. Met a guy from Cape that was catching good #'s of specks, gave us some jigs, said we would know it when we found it. Got to get back in touch with him, can't find it! Heard the white crappie are still good in lower basin. May try Thursday if I can get enough work done, darned rain.

We fished reelfoot Sunday. Fished from 7am-7pm. It was WINDY, but we managed to keep 74 between 3 of us. The majority(90%) of the fish we kept were from .75#-1.25#. The biggest one was 1.6# on digital scale. We fished two jigs under a float casting. The best bite was in 6 feet of water, but caught fish from 4-7foot of water with the bottom jig RIGHT on the mud. We used purple and chartruse. Buddy got a couple on motoroil and chartruse. All of us used crappie nibbles also. The water temp where we were was 49 in the morning going up to 52 in the evening.

We were fishing lower blue basin in the champy pocket area. There were 5 other boats of guys from my hometown area at reelfoot also. Some in upper blue basin, green island point area, and kirbys pocket.

This is the first trip for me fishing anything but the deep water with minnows and long poles. The jig and float method is what we us at my home lake of Wappapello and we wanted to try it at reelfoot.....and it worked out well for us.

    thanks

Yea , today was one of those days that you get about once every two weeks and I'm at work myself.
