I fished Birdsong to the mouth of the Duck Monday. The air temp was hot with little wind. Caught around 15 but only 2 keepers. It was my first time trolling cranks in this area. There were others jigging brush piles who did better than me early, but also said they were running very small. Must be a few bigger ones out there somewhere since dallman has caught some.

Were you trolling outside the main channel over the flats there? How deep? I would think you could catch some fish in that area around mouth of Birdsong. I trolled back and forth along the creek channel from the mouth all the way back to the bridge. There was a bunch of stuff showing on the depthfinder around the deep hole out from the bridge but couldn't get a bite back in there. No takers along the edge of the main river channel either. I was using mostly 200 Bandits which seemed to be running around 11-13 feet. Bunch of bass guys were fishing the flats across the river and south of Birdsong. Didn't try over there, figured it was too shallow for the cranks.
