Thread: JPP In The A.M.

Thank goodness they have opened the ramp over at Fate Sanders picnic area up.Was out at Stewarts Creek this morning and it was a mad house.Putting in and taking out so many people where there.Dont people work anymore?It was like a weekend in the middle of summer over there.Got to go back to work tonight and going to hate every minute of it.

I like that ramp too. I still haven't figured out why they close it every year. It's one of the best ramps on the lake. I read once that its known for being haunted too but I've put in there and come out in the middle of the night several times and ain't seen the little boy that leads you into the woods yet.

Yeah....Plenty of ghosts on JPP, Baditude. Big, bad, scary ghosts. Goblins too.

Since you're not gonna fish it anymore, do u mind sending me a pm w/ the GPS coordinates to your crappie honey holes?:D :D

I hope yer a good mind reader Thrill...the only gps i have is built in to my head. I've always been decent at locating structure and filing it somewhere back in my brain - and being able to locate it later still baffles me. I'm getting to the point where i have so many spots i'm starting to mark up my lake maps in case i do forget. I am however still window shopping for a good unit , after seeing yer legend on the structure sinking trip , i'll probably get that one.

I was taught to triangulate and mark my spots in my head by my uncle. A skill a lot of guys aren't good at. What made me get a GPS? My best friends dad got thrown off a train at work and he's asked me no less than 5 times when I got my truck and he's introduced himself to my gf about that many times too. Best to be on the safe side. Of course I probably wouldn't remember how to use it if something did happen.

So what do yall think this weather will have on fishing Wednesday morning.Think a man can get some good catfish in the morning if he went.I think I may go out in the morning for a bit and run some juggs and see what I can catch.

After that good drenching we got last night, the catfish might be pretty active. If you're gonna get em, ya better get em today.....I'd imagine the fish will be feeding very heavily prior to this cold front comin thru.

Baditude - I wouldn't trade anything for my Etrex legend. I went to Walmart and spent $10 on 4 rechargeable batteries - 2 for the GPS and 2 for the digital camera...it was well worth the investment.
