    Default Normandy today

I put in at Fire Lake ramp today for a change. This is my preferred launching spot because most of my stuff is on this side. Anyways, headed up river, way up river. First spot I stopped at I noticed the water temp was 53.1. Can this be right? Took a single rod triple rigged with a bottom bouncer weight, eased her down until the line got slack and reeled up two turns. The 565 was telling me 11 feet total depth. WHAM!!!!!!!!!!! Ok, this should be interesting, 1 keeper, took care of that one, changed both minners, well only one cause the other one was gone in the crappies gut. Dropped her down , WHAM!!!!!!!!! They are hitting like a freight train. Didn't have a single slip bobber out today, my mistake, but that won't happen again. Total for today, 27 fish, two green carp, one rock bass aka warmouth aka red eyed devil, 3 kitty cats, no not the type Darryl is talking about, four bluegills,17 crappie with 11 keepers. I met a guy at the ramp as I was leaving who said he was a member of this board. I shared all the incidentals with him. Up river, up river, up river. Seven degree difference. How deep were they? Less then you are tall, well unless your name is Darryl Morris. LOL. The warmer water is the key. Take care all. Oh, they wouldn't touch a jig, tried that also. Wanna know where the fish are biting, just follow the boat traffic up into Crumpton or Carroll. Take care all . FATBOY ps water temp in the channel by the pumping station, 46.2 and temp at the honey hole was 53.1.

Also, a guy from work stopped by right after I got to one of the honey holes. He had the usual chit chat. I asked him if he was still fishing for green carp as usual and he said yep. I hauled a couple of the fish out of the livewell to remind him what a fish looked like. He implied that I was number one with his fingers and I did the same. LOL Me and him are fishing together tomorrow. HEHE FATBOY

I thought I told you to go shallow in the winter. Works on Douglas and JPP real well. right in the end of the creeks on the mud flats where the water is warmer and the little minnows is a feeling right!

    Default Hey Fatboy....it's Me...firemanjim

I Am The Guy You Talked To At The Ramp As You Were Pulling Out. Thanks For The Info. You Were Dead On The Money. Caught 9 Keepers After We Spoke. Same Location I Was Telling You About. They Seemed Scattered Though. One On This Tree And One On That Tree. They Not Bunched Up Yet. Went Back Yesterday 3-7-2007 And The Same Water We Were Fishing Was Now 49.1. Fished Slowed Way Down. Caught Only 5 Keepers. 9 Feet Deep On Minnows. Well It Was Great Meeting You And Hope We Meet Again. God Bless:d
