Default Anyone been catching any at Reelfoot?

My favorite lake around home is just about ruined because of overpopulation of gar and Asian carp so it's time to try something different. Just don't want to drive 2+ hours one way if they ain't biting. Thanks

Catching crappie from daylight until around 10-11. It turns off like a switch to. Sunday I caught 17 from daylight to 9 and caught 27 from 9 to 10. They are hard to find right now though. I've been catching them in 12-14 fow fishing 8-10 foot deep. Most all time pink-chart or black and chart I can catch them on but past 2 weeks its been brown body with orange skirt tipped with minnow. Just gotta find what they want u know. If you come fish just cover as much water as u can and watch ur finder when u catch couple and see if they're on bait fish or not. Good luck

Yeah I know. I enjoy fishing like that too. If they had not messed up the new spillway the lake would be in great shape. You would think all that money the spillway would be near perfect but they can't even use it. Beats all I ever seen.

I grew up in Millington, live in Bartlett now. What lakes have you been fishing, oxbows? 'Hatchie bottoms? I've had decent luck at Glen Springs on days I didn't feel like driving to Mississippi.

Sardis has been real good to my brother in law the last 2 weekends, he limited out in 3 hours pulling cranks Saturday morning, might be worth the drive.
    I got 350 heads on a 305 engine.
I get 6 miles to the gallon.
I aint got no good intentions.

I went to the foot this past weekend and fished for about four hours and only caught one crappie!! Fished from eight to fourteen feet of water from four to twelve feet down and just couldn't find any willing to bite. Got a little warm so I left, haven't heard any good reports lately just slow and scattered.

It's terrible slow on reelfoot right now. I haven't been in 2 weeks. It went from OK to nothing. There's a water shed here that has been some 5-8 lb bass being caught early in mornings. Guess I'm going have to give it a try.
