Nice fish, post a pic of your fly, if you don't mind.
I love tying my own crappie flies, so I went to Fort Loudoun this afternoon to try out some I had made. I caught plenty of fish in the 3-4 feet range around brush in the creeks. The water in the creeks was dingy, and it was much warmer than the river channel. The river channel was 48 degrees, and the water in the creeks was 53-54 degrees. They killed my flies all afternoon. I kept enough for a good mess for my daughter and I for supper. She calls them "croppie fish sticks." And for some reason, it put my picture in upside down. But you get the idea.

Again, the pictures are upside down, but these are the two I used today. I make a bunch, but these are my favorites. I have found that pink with a white head works good, too. I could catch them with tube jigs, but I just like the old school flies. I like the 1/32 oz for crappie, and the 1/16 are deadly on white bass, and you don't have to fool with the trebble hooks like you do with plugs when you really get into them.
Thanks for that.

If you are taking your pics with your cellphone, this site turns the image 1/4 turn to the left (reason unknown) ..... so, if you take the pic with your phone held upright, the pic posts on it's side (top of pic to left). Soooo ... take the pic with the top of your phone pointing to your left, and it will come out on here "upside down".
To get the pics to transfer here in the correct orientation ...the easiest way is to take them with the top of your phone pointing to your right.
