My dad has fished around New Johnsonville for the last 3 days and only caught one clam.
I have a camp around the Danville area and usually fish 1 or 2 days a week mostly long lining or spider rigging .. The last couple months have been terrible for me . I target only crappie and catfish at times . When I do go out I may catch a few yellow bass and maybe a dink crappie or 2 and that's about it.. Hopefully things will change when the water cools..Any of you guys having my luck ? I don't think I this hard of a time catching fish in a long time

Been catching lots of small fish this year.Keeper fish have been harder to come by this year and everyone I talk to have been experiencing the same.I believe bad spawns is why there are less keeper fish, out of all the keeper fish I catch it seems like there is a shortage of 10-11.75 in crappie. I've a only fished 2 times here locally the last two months and it was two evening trips.one trip 11 keepers and another 9 keepers with lots of short fish caught also.

blue ball I assumme you fishing around the Camden area about 10 miles to the south of me ? this time of year are you fishing brush piles if so what depth water do you focus on? I would settle for catching some short fish the way it's be going for me lately

Sorry but I am glad I am not the only one struggling on KY LK
I plan on going to cross creeks tomorrow morning hopefully it won't be a let down. I've heard various thinges on both north and south cross creeks.
You can probably catch some around the bridges at cross creeks on the Cumberland city side. Single pole with minnows casting next to the bridge piers

I went 2 weeks ago to north cross creeks and caught 8 nice slab in 4 1/2 ft of water. But we prob caught 20 all together but only 8 keepers. We caught some nice 9 3/4's. But if they keep dropping the water, the crappie fishing is not gonna be good.
