    Default Looking To Move

OK guys, need some help! My wife and I are tired of these northern winters (and the politicians) here in northern Illinois. Where would you guys recommend a couple of mid-70's start looking? I would like to find someplace that has fishing close by, doesn't have to be on the water, relatively low taxes for a parcel of land with about 1-1.5 acres, oh yes, most importantly, little or no crime. I need a starting point and some recommendations. I would consider a modular, but would prefer brick and frame! Any help you folks are willing to give to get this ball rolling would be appreciated, and if you have a contact in the real estate biz, I would like that too! PLEASE HELP !!! Thanx and Regards, Dave

Come on down to Alabama and I'll take you on some of the best bass, bluegill and crappie fishing in the state. Bass up to 14#, Bluegills up to 2# and coppernose bluegills up to 3#. There's lots of deals on homes right now, land is cheaper out in the country than near towns. Oh, you said TN...

I didn't see where you said you were looking in TN. I live in TN....and I love it.....but I am seriously looking at Mountain Home, Arkansas....or Searcy, Arkansas. Great fishing....low crime....cost of living is cheaper than where I live in TN.

    Regards

Yalobusha County in Mississippi, low property taxes (in yall's case none of the first year), fairly low crime rate, and within an hour ride of 4of the top lakes in the country.

Great fishing in Florida (fresh and salt) and no income tax.

No income tax in Tennessee and Texas.

Well being that you posted this on the Tennessee board I'm guessing that you are looking at somewhere in that state. If I ever get the opportunity I would consider around Dover Tn. The wife and I were up at Paris Landing July 4 and drive over to Dover. Man that is some beautiful country!! You are between two beautiful bodies of water, with rolling hills, and a beautiful state park right there. You will be on one of the best fisheries in the state. If the good Lord is willing, I hope to sale everything I have here and retire there one day.
