WOW!!! You guys don't take long to respond. You've supplied me with a lot of useful
info that I need to follow up on. As much as I would like to go to Alabama or Mississippi,
your weather, with all that rain I see and the oppressive and humid weather wouldn't help
me or my wife. I think I am going to look into western TN, south of Memphis, as was suggested earlier
and see what the annual weather looks like. Thank you so much to all of you who took the time to
read and respond. Regards and Tight Lines - Dave

Yup. Pretty much the same weather in Memphis as in MS. Try East TN or
Northern Arkansas. Little less humidity and still distinctly southern.

Dover is a nice area. Lots of retired military live there. You could take the Cumberland River up to Lake Barkley, cross Barkley and go left into Tn river at Ky Dam and head south for 60 miles cross under the Paris Landing Bridge, then bear right and follow the left bank for 1 mile down Big Sandy, then set out trolling poles and begin trolling south. This is the golden route. Or, you can drive to the bridge in 15 minutes. Big crime here is crooked politicians.

I live between Paris and Dover Tn. About 2 miles from Paris Landing Marina. I bought my house down here 5 years ago and moved here full time in May of 2014. I also bailed out of Illinois to move here and we couldn't be happier. I lived in
St. Clair county Illinois and am so glad to get out of there.

You should take a look at Winchester Tn. area. We are central to 3 lakes( Tims Ford, Woods and Normandy). No income tax, low property tax, small town close to big town amenities. Nice selection of homes for sale at good prices. Not as hot and humid as Al. and Ms. but within easy driving distance to their lakes. We also have a local crappie club and fish on a regular basis. Would love to have you come and join us,
