Default Reelfoot Lake Oct. 1-2, crappie?

Going to Reelfoot Lake Oct. 1-2, staying at Boyette's. Will the crappie be biting or should we be fishing for something else?

I have fished reelfoot years ago. fished it many years once a year with some success. Then one year I hired a guide after that my catch rate went up substantially. Its been a long time now since I have been to reelfoot but if I were to go again I would hire a guide for a day.

That time of year should be a good time, but if you are wanting to catch some fish then you need a guide.

Boyette's has their own guides. At least they use to.

That's the Arts and Craft Fair weekend, whole area between Tiptonville and Sanburg will be a zoo.

I live next to Boyettes. That should be a pretty good time to fish. If your looking for a guide I would recommend Jason or his dad Sam Sandage if they're going to be back from Grenada by then. You can find them on FB. Hope this helps good luck.

I would go with Sam Sandage if you can . He is a good guide and fun to be with. I had fun with him.
