    Default Ft. Loudoun 7/13/2016

Well, I haven’t seen many posts on here in a while, so I thought I would add one. I took my son to Ft. Loudoun on 7/13. We hit the water at about 6:30 AM and started trolling plugs at 1.5 mph on a few shoals off the main channel. We were in 20 to 30 FOW, and I had three different sizes of plugs on six lines to fish different depths. By 10 AM, we had caught 14 keepers. Eight were between 10 and 10.25 inches, three were 11 inches, two were 12, and one was 13. So, they were a little on the small side. I never saw any big schools on my Lowrance HDS 7 fish finder. After measuring each fish, we released it, and I kept track of the sizes and number caught on my phone. I didn’t notice one color or size catching any more fish than the others. The water temperature was around 85F.

Hopefully, some of you are doing better than me!

Good report. I would take 14 keepers any day.

Great report and good job! I fish Loudoun regularly, and I am struggling this summer.
