Good report and good catch. Hoping to go this weekend. Glad you got to go. Too much work lately and needing a break.
Same story, had a client meeting this morning, and ran to the lake around 11. Decided to stay on the main channel today and fish brush and docks. Water temp was 75, and fished in 20-25 FOW. We stayed in a 100 yd stretch, not far from the ramp, anticipating the predicted thunderstorms. All fish were 15 ft+ deep. Today I used an 11' BGJP and flipped it out about 30' and let it pendulum back. Today the bite was no more than the line got "heavy". Had a lot of false hook sets! We kept 7 for eating! Only was out for about 2 hours, at what should have been a not very productive time. Only 1 picture today, the big boats were on the channel, so it took all of my attention to fish and maintain boat control!

ET Fish LIKED above post
went to fort nasty saturday, same pattern: deep brush piles on main channel. did accidentally catch a 26# catfish.
Bet that 26#r was a bit stubborn.
GO BIG ORANGE !
I meant to behave, but there were just way too many other options available at the time.
