Do you think the bigger fish are closer to the river in deeper water ?

We fished Monday and Tuesday and have the same report. We caught about 10 throwbacks to 1 keeper. I hope the big fish move in soon.

Same for me on Saturday and Sunday. I think those years we had all the high water around the spawn wiped out a couple year classes of crappie. It seems I catch mostly dinks but when I catch a keeper it's usually at least 11" or better.

It seems like there had been a lot of shorts for the last few years now though. I keep telling myself it will be good next year.

Well, at least you are out and about. We haven't been as we are taking care of Brenda's aunt. Hope to get up next week. Did you scout any or did you just throw out a line and drag it around?
