My opinion , mark packages with dates on them when freezing. I think would hold up in court more than not marking them. Just a opinion not the law.

TJ ... that might help you keep track of how many fish you have in your freezer, but not sure how that would help you in court ... it's not how old the fish are, it's how many you have "on hand" at the time of the inspection.

And it's probably not very likely that the F&W popo will be visiting your home, unless you're caught doing something else illegal by them, or someone turns you in.

It's just another one of those laws that honest people will follow, and the "others" won't because there's little chance of them being caught (since the law is probably rarely enforced).

KY did away with the "in the home freezer" possession limit clause a few years ago. Now, all "processed" fish in your possession do not count towards your possession limit. Ya'll might consider petitioning the TWRA to change your possession limit laws to the same interpretation.

A two day limit is 30 fish. I have 4 licensed fisher people in my home. That means 4 x 30 is 120 fish. That is 240 fillets. I think I'm good! Plus with some of my "botched" fillets, good luck piecing together the evidence!!

I asked the game warden this same question. He told me each person is allowed 15 fish per day on the lake we was at
If the person goes fishing every day an catches 15 he is doing nothing wrong therefore they are not worrying about possession
