Duck season effectively closes about half of my fishing spots due to blinds being in the area.
I let the duck hunters enjoy the short time they have to do what they do.

Get to close to a duck blind and you'll find out real quick why!! Plenty of water to fish without invading their waters, and they are catching a few and most are pigs...

I'm coming home with 8, the biggest is a little over 13". There were over a dozen boats there this morning and I'm sure most were catching more than this novice. It was pretty windy!

I went Friday afternoon for a few hours ended up with ten keepers all good fish, a lot of boats out and a lot of fish being caught... Talked to a guy when I got out on the water at 12:30 he said he was five from having a limit most caught early from 7 til 11, another guy had 15 and another only had 4 so I guess you were in them or you were not. So if you catch the wind not howling they r biting..

I probably caught 40 and brought home 25 yesterday. It was beautiful and glassy most of the day.
