Default Crappie and bonus Striper, Chickamauga Lake 11/25/2015

My snow bird friend from Florida took me out today in his boat for a little relaxing crappie fishing. At the end of the day as we were preparing to end our morning, the birds went crazy, so we motored over to investigate. Big Stripers on top chowing down on shad. We both cast into the melee and hooked up. Alas, my pulled off after a short fight. Pat's took off for the next county and we had to follow with the trolling motor as it was about to spool his reel. We finally got the fish in, a beauty at 19-20 lbs. Weighed 20 on spring scales and 19.1 on digital scales.

Water temp was 56 degrees and very little wind. Great day to be on the water.

I can't get the attachment thing to work, so you won't be able to see the pics.

Sounds like a fun day. Is Pat going south this winter. I thought he had already left town? Have a Happy Thanksgiving.

Too bad the pics didn't turn out
That striper was wearing my 10 lb test out. I'm glad I had it on my bait caster tho
I had a great time and the Chinese fire drill to get the net was a hoot
I know I shook for a long while after it.
It was easy to fish and have fun between all the laughing
off shore crappie and a striper

Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean there is no one out to get you
