I was also there but didn't catch any until the fog lifted and made it to around 10' water, came home with 5 with 3 of those in the 13" to 14" range.
Fished Reelfoot yesterday (Tues.) for about 4 hrs. The lake was covered with a dense fog, so I headed out on the lower basin in the general direction of Green Island Point. Thinking these conditions would bring the crappie up some I started spider rigging at 8' in 10-13 FOW. Caught a couple small ones then decided to drop to 10' and picked up one that went about a pound. Visibilty was maybe 100' , so I just kept on in a somewhat straight line. Ten feet deep in 12-13' water seemed to be right and I kept 8 fish with 5 being in the 1+ pound range all caught on minnows. The fog didn't lift until 11 AM then the sun came out and the bite was over. I'm really glad to see Reelfoot is coming out of the slump of the past 2 years.
Just get up and "gofishin". The fish are waiting!
