Default Report: Chickamauga Lake crappie 6/28/2015

I took my best friend and wife fishing with me this AM. Got her up before daylight and got her on the water about 30 minutes after daylight. She isn't too tough. She likes San Diego weather to fish in. So, we only fished until 9:00 AM. We fished vertical structure to begin with, then moved to off shore, and finally ended up on docks. We caught fish at every spot. We didn't stay in one place too long. Lots of boats out early this AM. Most seemed to be bass fishing.

Our technique is basically the same as it has been for the past few weeks. After the crappie get settled from their spawning ritual, they pretty much stay on the same pattern. You just have to move around just a little to find them. All fish were deep and by that I mean that they were over 10' deep. Most were 15+. Blue Ghost and a 3" Daddee Shad in blue/pearl pattern caught our fish today. We had fun and have now gotten back home and are making breakfast. It don't get much better than that.

Well good job guys and gals. Looks like they are fattening back up. Sailfish and I caught some last week at The Bar and they appear to be getting their shoulders back on them. Thanks for the report.

I forgot to add that we had 11 keepers, 2 shorts and the one largemouth bass. Took them home today. I haven't kept fish in quite a while.
