    Default Spawn over in ET?

    Hi everyone,

Is the spawn over in East TN? I was out of town last week and didn't get to fish. I am considering taking Friday off from work, but I hate to waste a vacation day if the spawn is over. Based on other threads, it seems the spilling, rain, and cool weather may have pulled the crappie to deep water, but does anyone think that some may still head to the banks?

The spawn seems to be pretty much over on Chickamauga Lake. I haven't been catching many on the banks for awhile. They seem to be scattered and in a transition phase. I have been finding some in 4-5 feet on points but most have been deeper.

Might depend on where you intend to go !! TWRA report says the Chick Crappie are pretty much done spawning, but the Watts Bar & Dale Hollow fish are still in the process or finishing up.

    Thanks Muskrat and cp,

I was thinking of hitting some of the sloughs near Cottonport on Chick, but it sounds like I should try Watts Bar instead. I hate I missed them on the banks at Chick, but I had some good luck with planer boards there back in March. So I cannot complain. Thanks again
