Fished Tims the past 2 weekends with limited results. Water temp is in the high 50's and a little muddy on the upper end of the lake. Didn't fish the lower end so not sure how it looks down that way but will be going there in a few weeks. Fished the river more then anything and found fish in blow downs in 20-30 ft of water about 6-10 ft down. Fish were biting light for me and were tight to the cover. Used minnows and some jigs. Mainly blue with pink tail tubes with limited results on it. Caught most fish on minnows. But really did not do to well in the mtcc tournament. Check out the mtcc page for tournament results as some guys did pretty good but I think there was only 1 limit brought in out of 8 boats. There was a lot of boat traffic with the nice day we had Saturday. Mostly bass fishermen running around trying to find a fish.
Sometimes it just is nice enjoying time spent on the water. This is the springtime bite we wait all year for. From some of the reports I have been reading, it is shaping up to be a good year!
Life is good. Fishing is better.
