Thread: Need suggestions for anchor

In the good old days,that is several years in the past I had a 14' jon boat and 150 lbs lighter. I could use a concrete block for an anchor, go ahead and laugh but it worked. I now have a 24' pontoon and was wondering what kind of anchor to use. I came here instead of going to a dealer, one reason is you guys and (gals) are more informative. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It's gonna depend on what kind of water you're in. Lakes, rivers, etc. also what kind of bottom is in the area you're fishing. Rock, mud, stump flats, etc.
