Ive been chasing crappie for several years now with little success. I know how to catch em when it warms up and the crappie get in the shallow water, but i can not find them this early in the "spring". I went today and was focusing on 15-20 feet of water with no luck.I used minnows on slip bobbers, cranks, and jigs as well. I found a stump row and some brush piles in about 10-12 feet of water but didnt get a bite. The lowrance showed 50-52* water temps. What am i missing?
Thanks for any input guys!
Fish ledges in deeper water. Try 20-30 feet deep. Also consider that we had a shad kill a couple weeks ago and the fish just haven't been biting that well.
