Dont know about at Reelfoot but my trolling experience in the fall has netted me spotted bass here at Normandy and Tim's. Thats not a bad thing. I am sure your son would like to catch just about anything and trolling is always a good thing to try to catch something.

Trolling is what most folks will be doing on Reelfoot this time of the year.

Unless the lake happens to drop a foot or so in the next couple of week (not likely) then trollong the stump fields will be your best bet. Its been real slow but cooler temps are on the horizon so maybe that will change for you and your son. Enjoy your time on the water with your son cause they grow up quick.
