Default Fishing Reelfoot for the first time

Alright guys I am heading over to Reelfoot next week with the old man. I am coming from Buchanan TN. I am just looking for a good boat ramp and maybe an area to look at?

Go slow. In gear idle around. It's stumpy.

Likewise! Your trip could turn ugly quick if you try to run wide open on this lake. Stumps everywhere! Would probably have the most success trolling in open water with jigs tipped with a minner!

It was a tough weekend on the foot. I fished friday and despite my truck breaking down at the ramp and delaying me 3 hours I got out for a little while and put 7 in the box with a few throw backs. Talked to several others who did about the same. Nasty wind kept me off the spots I wanted to fish. It can be a tough place to fish the first few times. So much structure that everyplace looks good.
