Welcome from Hillsboro. I fish deeper structure mostly when the water is this cold but there are times they move shallower to get the few degrees of warmer water on sunny days. I use mostly jigs and sometimes tip with a minnow. Channel ledges are there, just finding the right depth completes the pattern.

Welcome Johnny from Unionville. I also like to fish the deeper structure. Find blow downs that are in deep water close to shore. Also checkout along rock bluffs near the river channels and anywhere where the river channel comes close to the shore. Good luck.

On Tims Ford most fish blown over trees and or the boat docks.

On Woods Res alot of folks fish the brush piles that are all over it and some old standing brush from place to place near drops and old channel ledges.

On Normandy sorta the same as Woods Res, but you can find alot more underwater structure there. The big creeks have lots of old trees in them to fish.

When it comes to fishing any of these three lakes in the winter, (Water temp in 40's) it takes alot of patients and want to. Some guys fish vertical jigging deep structure while others fish under the docks at Tims and get good results. Its alot of trial and error, and usually there is more tough days than great days, but its still fishing and still alot of fun trying if you got da fever.

After this last weeks tournament I am not one to give out any advice on this. I did not catch one fish...not even a bluegill...I have my tail between my legs and am limping home. Come on down to one of our meetings at Skip's Grill on the third thursday of the month, 21st of Feb, Winchester, TN. TWRA giving a presetation this month. One of those guys that caught fish can help you out for sure. We would be glad to have you. Some of us may have caught one or two bass in the past also.
