    Default The Foot 11/18

Fished Reelfoot yesterday and it was a workout! I was on the water all day and there was never a consistent bite. Not sure if it was the fish or the fact that I made a run to Grizzly Jig Company and purchased a hole bag of new baits in a wide variety of colors and had to try them all!
I fished just about everything and caught fish regularly but scattered through the day.
Most consistant bite was on a small bodied tube jig in pumpkin and chartreuse with a 1/16 chartreuse head.
Kept 18 good fish but no big boys. Threw back 30 or so to grow up.

Had the same problem bass fishing yesterday. Caught about 30 fish on Sat. Went back out yesterday and only 2 bites in 4 hours of fishing. Same conditions!

84 is correct. Pressure. Pressure changes and you have to change the presentation, speed, side of the stump, direction around the stump, etc etc. Stumps showing will teach you alot about how to fish Reelfoot. Lots of little intricacies to catching them on the visible timber. By far my favorite way to fish Reelfoot. Im spying a comeback, seeyunson the water

Headed back out bass fishing yesterday (Fri) after not catching anything Weds and battled 20-25 mph wind for about an hour and a half. Caught 10 with the biggest pushing 4lbs. Bites were so light you would think you were crappie fishing. I probably missed 15 more because of the wind and light strikes. 56 degree water temp. All in all a fun little trip for this late in Nov. Short video of some catching. Short windy day 11-23-12 - YouTube

6 in Junebug worm yesterday. They had been wearing out green pumpkin lizards for the past few weeks. I am left handed and lost half my left elbow joint after a fall from a ladder many years ago, so I mainly fish soft plastics now. Arm can't take the continued casting and pull of crankbaits, spinners, etc.
