Guys that won the WTCC tourney caught some nice ones on shallow mats close to the Big Sandy channel, but said things had slowed down over the past few days. My personal catchin wasn't all that great, yet that's not always a reliable indicator. I think the spawn may be wrapping up over that way. Good luck.

Did you all have frost last night in Paris Landing area? Also saw looks like possibility of rain Thursday of this week thru a lot of next week? I'd imagine water temp is headed back down a bit?

No frost that I noticed but fishing was terrible compared to what I'm familiar with from this area. Guess we were just a little to late getting down here for this area this year.

Fished shallow, was awful! Tried deep 12ft and beyond....resulted in a few but nothing of any big caliber! I'll admit though fishing that deep is not my best cup of tea. Ended up coming a day early to chase some more IL Crappie...

Thanks for the info guys! Maybe We'll try it again next year!

I caught fish around boat docks. Smaller females full of eggs. This was Saturday late afternoon.

We were there last week and stayed on West Sandy but fished mostly out on Big Sandy. Did pretty good drifting the flats in 5-7 feet of water using minnows under a slip bobber and caught some casting 2 inch curly tails on rocky shore lines in West Sandy. A couple came off fish attractors that were a little deeper than most. The best day we cleaned 54 keepers with 2 15"'s being the best. Released a lot of shorts that were really close. Really good trip and I love this area. Name: crappie 1.jpg
