    Default Douglas Lake.............Info.

    Hey Guys,
I need a little information. My wife is wanting to rent a cabin on Douglass lake in early June. I know nothing about this lake. How big is it ?? What's in it?
Any info would be greatly appreciated!

    Pirate:

Douglas at that time of year may be the prettiest
lake in TN. Sometimes...it can be the hottest fishing
lake in TN..ask the BassMasters that fished one of their
big tourneys there a few yrs ago. They averaged 100 fish
a day....per pro...but had a hard time getting any keepers.
There is little natural cover..so plan on fishing the creeks
and the points. Bass, crappie, bluegill, and catfish..along
with some white bass should keep you busy! Good Luck!

A lot of shoreline per acre of water. Location next to mountains causes many, many coves and coves within coves. Good assortment of fishing conditions and shoreline....mud vs rock and sharp to gradual change in depths at shoreline and coves. Some barely submerged land and rocks within a few miles of dam; map would be good investment. Relatively cool and clean with great scenery. BPS at same exit [407] off I-40 you take for Douglas. Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg are maybe twenty-forty miles east. Lake has crappie, and something called a bass....at least I think that is what they call it :D !
