    Default sportsmans resort reelfoot lake

Well I booked my trip and plan to stay at sportsman's April 1st thru 8th. I am stayin at the south basin. After I booked my trip I heard that fishing on the north side of the lake is better. Could anyone verify that? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Yes the north end of the lake is better IMO. I have been going to the north end for the past 25 years. I was down there Mar 6-8 the weather was nasty but on the Monday Crappie were doing great. I spoke to a friend a couple days ago down there and he said that the black crappie are in 1 to 2 foot6 of water. Good luck and have fun

No, the north end represents less than 1/4 of the lake, in feb. it was the most productive part of the lake, in march the south end has been the best, now the spawns on and Kirby is on fire. I fish up there a lot, it's great, but no better than the rest of the lake.
I clever quip fishing ironic statement crappie!
