Average Day on The Chick

Put in at 10 and fished till 2:45 with Tenncrappie Jr. We ran 10 lines at times behind planner boards and tallied 19 keepers with 25 shorts. Most were caught in 4-8 ft of water. Water temps were from 52-56 degrees. Winds came and the white caps drove us home. Seen Tnhooker and his partner who had 21. Better days ahead I'm sure. Color of the day was one Jr. was running called Mistake. It was dead on today.

That's a good mess of fish...slow day on Douglas. We ended up with about 20 shorts and 2 keepers, SandyRidge had 4 keepers, and I talked to another guy at the ramp who had 1 keeper. It was beautiful out though, the wind stayed calm all day, and the temps were great! Water in Muddy Creek was 51-52...in McGuire Creek 55.
