Default After last nites flood I'm going to hunt Mushrooms

Going up to Tellico and see if I can find some of those ground steaks. Wearing my snake boots just in case. Who knows might find a ramp or two. Save some for sailfish to go with his fresh crappie he got friday. Later Tenncrappie.

Now should be the time to go. A buddy of mine cut the top off a two liter bottle and filled it 2/3 full on saturday. He hit the jackpot.

I go up in the Cherokee National forest. Have a friend who works for the park service that gives me a call when she spots them. She called last thursday. From the looks of those you have I may be too late. Mushrooming in the mid-west is a big deal. I go visit kinfolks in Iowa ever few years and hunt up there. Kids even lay out of school. If you ever eat one soaked in egg, floured up the fryed you will be hooked.

Morel Mushrooms. There's alot of info on the web about them. I've never found any 'cuz i've never looked, but have some friends that know where to find them. Here is a pic of one my bud found saturday. I'd rather chase turkeys and papermouths this time of year...
