    Default Cherokee Crappie Fishing (upper end) 3/9/06


    Fished Cherokee Lake yesterday for crappie. Put in near Caney Creek and fished from Clouds Ckeek up to Robinson Creek. Water was about 60 degrees and very stained in color. Managed to catch 4 crappie. (14-16") Very slow day. No one else appered to be cathing ANY SPECIES of fish on Thursday.

    Troller, I live on cherokee and the fishing has been slow. Douglas is turning on though. I think it will be a couple of two or three weeks before the fishing is good on Cherokee. TVA will start to bring the lake up in the next two weeks, several inches a day until it reaches full pool in June.

    Glad to hear that. I really enjoy crappie fishing on Cherokee.
