    Default Old Hickory 4/19/10

Caught several crappie at 10'. Nothing up shallow yesterday evening. Caught most on jigs and a few on minnows. Overall it was a slow day, but the two biggest made up for it.

Great looking fish... yeah not many crappie have not moved shallow yet on Old Hickory but they are on their way. The weekend before last my buddy and I caught 11 crappie in 8ft and all were short except 5 but the five we kept were nice 2 of them going 2lb's each.

Good looking fish. I was catching them shallow last Thurs evening before the cold front came through. Got into a nice mess in some brush in 3-4ft of water on Drakes. Haven't been out since then though. I figured the cold front would have them a little deeper for a while.

    Default OH Crappie

I went Monday 4/19 and only managed 2 keepers. The warmest water I found was 66 degrees. That is almost 10 degrees cooler than it was the week before!
