Your either working (like me) or your wife has a tight collar. Man, I wish I could be on the water.

It sure was hard to stay at the house today, but I have been putting off working in the yard and garden for weeks. Bit the bullet today, but at least I got 'er done.

ALLERGIES ARE [B][U]NOT[U][B] A REASON FOR NOT FISHING!! I'm working too. 24 hr shift, but then I'm off 24 hrs and after three rotations of that I'm off 4 days. So the only excuse I have is I don't have the boat ready and the re-hab I've been working on all winter isn't finished. I am going to Reelfoot in April though.

I got invited to check out some private ponds in Pinkneyville, IL that haven't been fished in about 10-15 years. I hope they're holding some lunkers. I grew up fishing farm ponds in SE MO and miss it. This will be a golden opportunity to show my boys what it's like to walk in to a pond with a pole and bait and go low-tech fishing.
My worst day of fishin' is still better than my best day at work!

I feel the pain. The allergies are at full tilt, the knee don't work like it used to, and the other aches and pains from getting a little older keep cropping up. I had to work yesterday, like everyone else, while my brother and his son, who had the day off, hit Tellico and caught their limit. They had to rub it in! Once I got off work the "honey-do" list was beyond belief and fishing was just a faint thought. I did a few items off the list, and checked the Skeeters batteries, did a few more items on the list, and checked the trailer tires, did a few more items, threw the list away and finished getting everything ready for next week. I found that I needed a battery for the lawn mower so on the way to Home Depot I drove just a tad out of the way to find a new boat ramp. All I know is that I have to work today then five more then it is a week of fishin'. Told the wife that I have 9 days off and short of thunder and lightening I will be on the lake each day, except when I am cleaning and frying fish. She said something about doing some work around the house; I told her that is great, I will take care of them in the week after vacation. I will let you know how that turns out--I was smart enough not to say that out loud. Keep on fellers, we will get our chance to slay them soon. Got ta run and find a klennex.
You do not cease to fish because you get old, you get old because you cease to fish!

Nice day to be out, working or playing, took the day off from fishing and cranked the old Harley up and went for a ride.
