Default Fair day at West Sandy

Water temp 43, very little wind. Water is way down. Kept 14. Nothing over 13". All were caught suspended between 6' & 8', in 12' of water. All caught on jigs (electric chicken Slab Slayers were the hottest).

Thinking of proposing a new event for the next Winter Olympics... ramp skating. Put in around 7AM. Not exactly sure why the thought that the Britton Ford ramp would be a solid sheet of ice never crossed my mind... locked the brakes and started sliding at the top of the ramp... half way down, had the emergency brake on, the truck in park, and the door open, ready to bail!!! :D:D:D LUCKILY, there was no ice below the water line!!! Still not sure what (except the grace of God) allowed me to slide all the way down the ramp, in a perfectly straight line... good news for the guys on the other side of the ramp. :

A HUGE thank you to the guys in the 4WD, with the strap, who were kind enough to pull me back to the top of the ramp. If it hadn't been for them, my truck would have had to have stayed parked at the bottom of the ramp until the ice thawed!!!

As awesome as the weather was, I wouldn't have cared if I didn't get a bite!!! Just good to be out. How much longer before you will be able to get back on them?

Default Done the same thing yesterday

Back in where it's dry. We put in on the same side as 2 other boats had launched before us and the water had froze where they pulled out. Lucky we had fourwheel drive.

We went today - very little wind - YES!!!!!! Caught ours a little deeper fishing at 13 - 14 ft in 16 - 20 ft of water. Black and chartreuse was killer today. Water temp was hovering around 38 deg. Caught between 25 and 30 and kept 14 and man that sunshine sure was a welcome sight.

Me and two of my buddies were using minnows in west sandy on Sat. We ended up keeping 55 and half of those were in the last hour and a half of the the day. It was an awesome day of fishing. The fish we caught early in the day were in about 12ft. of water and the fish we caught in the last few hours we caught in about 8 - 9ft. of water.
