I have a small stump that might interfere with my boat lift (not installed yet). Any suggestions how to remove it? It is about 1 foot in diameter and about 1 and 1/2 foot tall, has real jagged edges and is in about 7 foot of water.
Ain't I lucky.

Never tried that in water...will there be a drawdown that will expose it?
Any way to get a chain around it? How far from the shore is it? If you can get a chain around it, winch that puppy out. Otherwise, dynamite.
Dynamite would get the stump and probably a limit or two of fish...Sounds like you've got a unique problem on your hands if you are at winter pool, and that far from shore. Sorry, but I'm not sure what to suggest.
reach as far down in the water you can with a hand saw cut it off
Do you know any of the mussel divers down their? Get one of them to hook a cable on it.
Move the lift about one foot to the left or right. :D
does your boat lift go 5.5' deep into the water?
Ya ain't holdin' your mouth right.
