Wink Percy Priest 06/22/09 Largest Fish Ever Caught

Well I been hearing that saying "Take a child fishing" on this and various other fishing sites. My 11 year old nephew loves to fish. I thought I would be in vogue and take the little fella fishing and took him to Percy Priest today. By 10:00 am he had caught the largest fish of his life, a 16" Large Mouth Bass. Boy was he excited. But that was nothing, by 11:00 am he had caught the largest fish I believe that has ever been caught on Percy Priest. It was 280 pounds and almost, 6 feet long. Me!!!!!!!! He sunk both treble hooks on the 300 Bandit he had been using into my face. If anyone knows the guy who started "Take a child fishing" tell him I would like to talk to him if you know what I mean. The pictures show all 4 insertion points but the one marked by double squares, required pliers, and really hurt.

    Default "the Bright Side"

No eye damage,No talk of a emt call or a trip to the hospitalyou now have something to hold over his head and say you owe him onei'm thinking maybe he got a little scared when he saw what he caught.

The Brightest side is, your a swell guy for taking him

    Your movie career is over

See there is two parts to this. 1st it's a kid so alway's expect the worst(i give all the kid's 5ft ultralites in a 16ft boat). 2nd my fishing buddy has got me twice over ten years. 1 hook in the head and another time he busted my head with the end of the rod. i know where they get ugly sticks from now. that gash it made sure was ugly. I'm sure the kid felt really bad, seeing your a pretty big fellow. i was wondering if he jumped overboard and swam a shore with his big fish? Anyways you did a good thing. he has two good memories and you got one bad one and a sore cheek

Hard to laugh when you're in pain, but laugh you will. Glad it wasn't any worse. Next time give him baits with single hooks, less fish but less pain. All in fun, it's always good to take a kid.

Yeah sorry to hear about your mishap but real glad you spent time with the kid on the water.Hey it can happen to the best of all.Seen a guy one night get a 5/0 circle hook through his knuckle he had to go to StoneCrest and get it removed and then back on the water running jugs the rest of the night with us.

And listen to Skeetbum he took a friends son out fishing in a tournament Saturday and the boy told off all his dads fishing spots and they won a tournament. So see it does pay off to take some kids fishing.....lol
