I will second this idea for sure!!!! My only thought is break down the waypoints per lake and have a waypoint drawing for each lake. So if 10 guys put in waypoints for each lake, it would be a $50 payout at each lake instead of just one certain lake..

I like that idea too. I just wonder how many members would be willing to give up that many waypoints on the first go round. Under one scenario, you could pay $5.00, put up one waypoint from any lake that we fish, and for that investment you would get all the waypoints that everybody else puts in. Would'nt be the best money maker, but would maybe get people interested. Not sure how much time we would have for this anyway cause there's lots to get done at the meeting and sometimes it gets heated. Oh well, gonna bring a couple and be ready to deal. Might have to do this after the meeting with any interested members.

I would like to join but my boat is not big enough for those lakes. Do you do a co-angler type thing?

All tourneys are maximum 2 man 7 fish tourneys. You can fish by yourself, I did at Clinton a few years ago. There are a few guys looking for partners also they might have boats. It is really a fun club, the guys are great and there are some good fishermen. This club is based out of Springfield and all of the lakes we have fished since I have joined have been in that area. Mark Twain is the only lake we have fished lately that is not within an hour of Springfield. Last year springfield, shelbyville, and mark twain produced big weights(all over 8lbs)and this year those lakes could produce even bigger weights. It is going to be an exciting year! If anyone has questions send a pm and I will get you an answer from one of the club officers.

I like the idea of the waypoint swap except I don't have any on most of the lakes you fish. This year will be my firsty on all of them except Shelbyville. That is part of the reason I joined. It will get me fishin lakes I havve'nt and I can learn from those of you that do fish them.
Give a man a fish and feed him for a day.
Teach a man to fish and he'll sit in a boat and drink beer all day!

We hadn't fished them either. Clinton, Shelbyville, and Twain a few times. Its about the competition and putting in the work to win. We didn't even have a boat until 4 years ago. We have gained a ton of knowledge from these guys that helps us fish even the lakes around home.

I agree Sparky - My only point is I wouldn't be able to reciprocate in a swap of info. I like the challenge of finding places to fish. I am looking forward to this fishing season!

We wouldn't be able to either, I don't mark gps spots well but with the si I can still find them. People like to drag brush piles around on certain lakes also so if someone got one I had marked and it was gone it wouldn't be good.
