    Default bait tanks

i put a new motor in my greyline bait tank thanksgiving morning and its been running in the boat since with no minnow loss. we just keep addin more minnows to whats in there. a good bait tank is imperative if you gonna live bait fish with big minnows or shad. we put a few shad in there this am but they dint last long so we fished em out and kept using shiners. we got enough to do us tomorrow if they dont die tonight then ill drain and clean it up.

    Very true!!

I think any hardcore striper or crappie fisherman has been through the paces with bait tanks.

A good striper man once said that he wished he had spent the money once on a GREAT bait tank instead of spending money several times on cheap or homemade ones.

yeah, i know what you mean. i went through the home made stage before it dawned on me (and listening to thumper) that a good bait tank was imperative and i give up the ghost of a hand full of franklins for a good tank but i aint complaining no more. got no reason to :D they dont come cheap but you will be glad you bit the bullet....

I went out Thanksgiving evening to get bait for Friday morning. I turned on the pump and she was squealing like a pig. Thank goodness I keep a spare on the boat. I had her changed out in about 15 min. Now I got to get to BPS for a couple new rule pumps.

i used my bilge pump to fix mine. need to get over there myself to pick up a couple to replace the bilge pump and to keep one on hand. i finally cut mine off yesterday when i dumped the few minnows we had left before coming in. it had been running nonstop since thanksgiving day

I got a Grayline. It keeps shad for about a week with no problem in the fall/winter

I got a 30 gal. Grayline. Best tank I ever used. Simple, easy to use, if the pump goes out, you can fix it in 15 min. with a phillips head screwdriver and wire crimpers.
