I replaced my runners last fall. I was lucky enough to be able to just jack her up, one side at a time, with my floor jack. I replaced the carpet and held it down with brass screws and washers. If I ever have to replace them again. I'm gonna use some of that composite flooring material. I thought about doing that about a week after I put the treated 2 x 4's on. Has anyone ever used the composite for runners???? It should last forever.

mines the same treated boards that come with the boat. the boards look good, no rot or splits. i shifted the mounting brackets a inch or so to get the bolts in new wood. i got the other side out. now that im thinking about it i may go ahead and replace the lags with stainless bolts and add new carpet and be done with it, i hope forever. im done with one side but i may go back and redo it. its seems to get easier ever time i do it. :D
