When the Oak blooms are on the water I usually find fish in 10-13’ of water. That held true today. Didn’t see as many fish today compared to Monday. Catch rate was about half as much also. Did manage some good ones. It’s was nice not having to weed thru the small fish. The wind was way better today and the rain was light. The sun popped out and the bite picked up. Big Fish was 1.93.

Those are some good ones! Thanks for sharing
Those little squigglies wreak havoc on a longlining setup. I tend to appreciate a bit of wind helping to move them to one side of the coves/canals this time of the year..

Yeah, they definitely will keep you working to keep them cleaned off. They were a problem for me single pole casting. A few spots I had oak blooms and dogwood petals. Maybe the high winds today will clean the off the trees and water. Fingers Crossed.

The worst is the cotton tree blooms which coat the water and grass. They are especially a pain if you use braid. They usually bloom the first week of June up here in Ohio.
Thank God there isn't any cottonwoods around the lakes I fish on. Those oak blooms came down last night with all that strong wind we had. Cars, driveways, gardens are full of them today. Dont know if it got 'em all down but it should have. Next couple days is also very strong winds here (forecasted at 20-30 mph) so maybe they will disappear soon. Gonna get HOT soon and I want to catch more fish before then. Ha! BTW, nice catch Doug.

They chewed this jig this week so I had to restock.
