    Default Wylie 4-5-24


    Another windy day at wylie. Not many bites today but had some larger crappie. Longline in beaver dam & torrence. Jigs with minnows again. We did not mark many schools.

    Ended up with 15 crappies, about 12 peerch & 5 bass.

    Nice a few chunkers for lunch.!,

    How deep were they caught?

    Think they will soon be shallow ?..

    Ones we caught were in 20'. Some were down on bottom & others were shallow on jigs about 12'. I think some have moved to the banks since a friend has been catching some off docks & shallow brush. Hard to figure the crappie out this year. A big change from the past years. Just go tto cover water & find the hot spots. Like tips of points & small brush piles.

    Some are moving and working shallow. I caught five late yesterday afternoon in 7-9FOW. Didn't catch any in 15-20, but also didn't catch any on blow downs on the bank.
