    Default Lake Wylie 1-15-2024

First trip of the new year.
I met up with Uncle Remus this morning at Allison landing. We launched about 7:30. Temps in the low 40s and light winds. The water color is red mud, and water temperature was 47. We plowed through the mud with the toon on the hunt for some fish. We marked a lot of bait and a few fish. We played around with the new live scope and figured out what we were looking at. We got much better at seeing where our jigs were. Not too much to report the old perch jerker kept the stink off of the toon. No minnows were hurt on our morning on the water.
Thanks for an enjoyable morning on the water. There are no pictures on this trip.

Sounds like a good time. It’s been extremely muddy on the lakes around me and tough fishing conditions. I’m not sure it’s going to clear up anytime soon with more rains coming. Thanks for sharing

Time on the water is never a waste. When the fish ain’t biting it’s the perfect time to search new areas. When fishing solo I force myself to dedicate 1 hour to looking at new areas or areas I haven’t fished in a while. Having options will payoff in the future.
