Default Knocked Off The Dust Today!

Hadnt fished in soooooo long I decided today was forecasted as a GREAT day to fish so I hitched up last night and made the trip today. The morning began around 55* and fairly calm. The wind picked up in a couple hours. You could fish in it but it wasnt much fun with the waves whitecapping a little bit. Eventually it layed enough to slow down those waves so I kept trolling until Noon. I was still picking up a fish every once in awhile but I knew I had a mess of fish in the box so I called it a day

I was surprised the batteries held up as good as they did since one seemed to be failing last spring. Everything about the boat did OK so that was my main reason for going, along with just wanting to get back on the water again. I think last May was my last trip after the crappies.

Anyway, caught a few, nothing spectacular. For the sake of this post I did take a couple pics. I should also have taken a picture tonite before finishing off those fried fish. Fresh fish....you jut cant beat 'em!

Congratulation on a great day on the water. Good to see you out moving. Fresh fried crappie, nothing can beat them. Maybe the lake will rise some. The hudson river near my home is running full.
