Yeah that will probably be it, its all the makeing of a big tournament but for some reason not many people show up.I dont know if its the entry fee, lack of advetisement or the polygraph test, but somethin deters people from showing, probably all three.

I believe the rodeo counts heads in the boats, so probably much less boats in the rodeo than the number 38 seems to indicate, probably more like 12 boats.

Correct me if I am wrong.

I have fished a lot of catfish events. Most are about 8-14 boats in the legit catfishing tournaments with hard core catfishermen. I fished the Classic on Santee in 2005 and there were 148 boats. It was a well run and organized tournament.

you are right rodger, that was a head count, dont know the number of boats but there was at least 13 by my count and i may have missed 1 or 2,i know one guys pontoon had 6 on it and they wasnt even around at weigh in,but there $120 contribution helped, they dont have a limit for # in a boat like most tourneys do

Yea I have lived on this Lake all my life never heard of the tournies before. There are alot of great fisherman who fish almost everyday that would love to be in it.Is there no advetisment done around the Lake? One sign at every landing would help alot.

Did a little Am fishing.caught a big one in the 5AM range ( had fished all night so + - 1 hour) after 10 oclock dont look for a big fish.I bet there will not be a 10+lb fish caught after 10 AM.
