    Default Another Striped weekend

My buddy BJ wanted to use his gear to fish this weekend so I hopped in and off we went. The fishing was pretty good and his fish finder was frequently showing good marks in the areas we stopped at. Total for Sat was 15 and Sunday was 8. I was really surprised how tight lipped they were as we had a screen full of them that wouldn’t bite numerous times.

You are doing a great job teasing Remus and I on making a road trip! Glad you'll found some that cooperated.

Murray was fairly tough for us for stripers on Sunday too. We got a limit but had to make a bunch of stops. We were fishing spoons. Live bait would have been better I’m sure.

14 more this morning. We aren’t on a fast and furious bite, but 14 in 3.5 hours isn’t too bad…..

We pulled leadcore on the lower end yesterday and it was extremely slow. Only caught 6. Marked fish like crazy but they didn’t want to eat. I did have a nice fish peeling drag that straightened the dang hook on my bucktail. Drag was plenty light. I won’t be using those bucktails again.
